Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the revenue management function for the hotel, including room inventory management, pricing, forecasting, and distribution strategies across all distribution channels
- Develop and execute revenue management strategies for hotel room, spa, F&B, and function space to maximize revenue and profit
- Analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities for revenue growth and recommend appropriate pricing and positioning strategies
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment of revenue management strategies with overall hotel objectives
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), revenue per available room (RevPAR), and gross operating profit per available room (GOPPAR) to identify trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly
- Utilize revenue management tools such as Data Vision, Power BI, STR, Sabre Synxis, OTA Insights, and Ideas G3 to optimize revenue performance
- Conduct regular forecasting and budgeting exercises to support revenue grow.
- Conduct regular revenue meetings with hotel leadership team to communicate performance, opportunities, and pricing strategies
- Monitor and analyze customer feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement and adjust pricing strategies accordingly
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, developments, and best practices in revenue management and pricing strategies
Competencies and background requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, finance, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree in a related field may be preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in hotel revenue management, pricing, forecasting, and inventory management. Prior experience working in a luxury hotel setting is highly desirable.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint), revenue management software, and data analysis tools. Familiarity with industry-specific software such as Opera or Delphi is also desirable.
- The ability to lead a team, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and senior management is essential. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate and persuade others.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are a must, as the Assistant Director of Revenue will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to inform revenue strategies for the hotel's total revenue management.
- Must have a thorough understanding of the luxury hotel industry, including market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, including food and beverage industry, with menu engineering, cost control, supply chain management as well as Total Revenue Management approach.
- Fluency in English is usually required, and proficiency in one or more additional languages is highly desirable.
